I create contemporary iconic art by re-interpreting and reducing a subject or concept to its essential identity .
My artistic language has been shaped by a multidisciplinary professional career in visual identity, portrait illustration, fashion, interiors and design. These disciplines continue to influence every painting I create. I approach each artwork not simply as an image, but as a bold visual statement designed to be instantly recognisable and to integrate harmoniously within its environment.
Rather than reproducing what I see, I aim to reveal the essence of the subject. Whether portraying a person, a horse, an abstract concept or a wild animal, my objective is to create a distilled icon rather than a complex representation. Every line, shape and colour tone serves a purpose, allowing the work to communicate with clarity while retaining emotion, character and presence.
My process is based on reduction rather than addition. By removing unnecessary detail, I create compositions that are visually strong, instantly recognisable and timeless.
The consistency of my visual language is intentional. Rather than adapting my style to changing trends, I have focused on developing a distinctive artistic identity that evolves across different subjects while remaining my own. Collectors often recognise my work before they read my signature, and that has become one of the defining characteristics of my work.
