For Alex Di Silvestro, the artwork does not end at the edge of the canvas. Drawing upon decades of professional experience across visual arts, fashion, design and interiors, his creative approach extends beyond painting into the complete visual integration of the artwork within its final environment.
Framing is considered an essential continuation of the artistic process, not merely a presentation element, but an integral part of the work’s visual language, presence and relationship with the surrounding space. Acting as a bridge between artwork, architecture and interior design, the frame plays a fundamental role in achieving a harmonious and timeless final result.
In selected projects, the process is developed in reverse, with a distinctive frame becoming the original source of inspiration from which the artwork itself is conceived. Some frames are individually painted, customised and transformed into extensions of the composition, creating unique collector’s works where artwork and frame exist as a single unified statement.
From the creation of the artwork to bespoke framing and final placement, Alex Di Silvestro approaches every commission as an individual project, carefully developing each element to achieve a refined, cohesive and fully integrated visual experience.
DELIVERY + INSTALLATION
For selected locations, including London, Monaco and the French Riviera – Cote d’Azur, among others, Alex Di Silvestro can also provide artwork delivery & professional on-site installation, ensuring each piece is positioned with precision, balance and strong visual presence.
Guided by a strong background in visual arts including fashion, design and interiors, Alex Di Silvestro approaches each project individually, from artwork creation and bespoke framing to final spatial integration and placement. Once integrated into its environment, the wall itself becomes a new canvas, allowing the artwork to exist as part of a larger visual experience within the unique interiors.
Having a work conceived, framed and installed directly by the artist offers collectors a rare and highly personal experience, where the ultimate complete artistic vision is carried through every stage of the creative process.
